Very busy weekend, just getting back here.

Thanks Ken and Steve for your helpful replies.

I must apologize, I neglected to mention that this issue arose on my iMac. I will try to tweak your suggestions for the Mac. Directories are different for example. I did go into Application (comparable to /Program Files/ in Windows, and there is a jdk in the IBM Software Delivery folder.

So I'm thinking I'll uninstall all my Javas maybe, and my RDi, and try to find related files in the data side of RDi, which on the Mac are under /user/--me--/IBM or some such.

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,
Have you tried re-starting RDi with a -clean?

You can right-click on the start icon, select properties and go to the "Target" entry and press the end key and add a space and -clean, then press OK. Just remember to remove the -clean or RDi will take longer to restart each time.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Show stopping editor error opening source member: Specified working directory not found.

First, I have RDi 9.6, my Java is very up to date...

I have an editor issue, trying to open a member for edit (or browse) in RDI, I get an error message instead, "Specified working directory not found." For several different source members.

Tried quitting RDi then re-launching, nope.

Tried uninstalling RDi and reinstalling, Nope.

Tried creating a new workspace to work in. Nope.

Then tried deleting the old workspace directory to see if the new one would now work. Nope

Then I tried deleting the new (and now only) workspace directory and re-launch. (The welcome page was funny but) Nope.

Then I tried posting a message to the IBM RDi forum, and here we are, seeing if anybody has a solution to this. (Licensing is not an issue)

And now, I am cross posting the above list of "I already did this" to this midrange list.

Thanks

Alan Cassidy
