Ah - fond memories. Ironically, it was almost impossible to get anyone to adopt CODE/400 initially: OS/2 and the price tag, (in 4-figures!) put most off. (IIRC it cost around 2,000UKP per user.)

Then the Windows version of CODE/400 came out. Still not many takers, (sound familiar?). However. when it was bundled "for free" with ADTS folk started to take an interest - just as WDT/WDSc made it's appearance. We continued to use CODE/400 with WDSc because the latter had no screen/report design tool. (I still think the CODE Designer was easier to use than the Screen/Report Designer we have in RDi.)  Let's not forget VARPG as well!
