And I had always thought the same Buck - but some many components were identified as needing updates including (as I noted) some PHP ones I just figured that the process must have changed.

Oh well - back to reinstalling then.

I haven't yet used my normal workspace - just been playing around so no harm done.

When I first loaded V9.6 it listed a number of components that could not be installed as-is and went searching for updates. It appears to find most everything it needed - including the PHP PDT components. I had it install all the updates and it did so with no errors. But the PHP perspective is conspicuous by its absence.

I don't recall a new install ever 'remembering' all my non-IBM plug-ins.
I'm reinstalling Mylyn and iSphere right now.

Also missing are the Linoma and Arcad tools, plus iSphere but I can't recall if they were in the original update list or not.

If it didn't come from IBM, it doesn't come from IBM. :-)
