Re: RDi 9.6 is now available!!!

I'm trying to install IBM Data Studio 4.1.2 in with RDi 9.6 but getting a
message saying "it is not compatible with IBM Rational Developer for i
9.6.0.0". I've still got Data studio installed under RDi 9.5, so should I
uninstall it from there? (RDi 9.6 and RDi 9.5 are both in their own package
groups).

As far as I can tell there isn't a newer version of IBM Data Studio
available.

Product version numbering in IBM can be a bit mysterious.

In this case, we are now based on Eclipse 4.6 (previously 4.4 in RDi 9.5)
which caused us to have a new install and new version number.

I've looked at the "fix list" and there are a few nice touches, but I
personally wouldn't have called this a new "version". I'm not criticising
your decision to do so, but was wondering what new feature you feel
warrants a version increase worthy of a new licence key? Maybe the "error
reporting" change was a complete rewrite?
