On several occasions, I have had the "Delete" key not work in LPEX, until I restarted RDI. Which has been infuriating. Luckily it happens VERY RARELY, but never the less frustrating.

So, using Eclipse Oxygen, NOT RDi, the delete key did NOT work for me while editing an HTML file. I am using the Web Page Editor. Which give me a view of the html formatted, and a split window with the code too! Pretty awesome FREE coding tool in Eclipse.
Side note: I had previous install the "Web Page Editor" into RDI 9.5.1.2, but had problem installing this time for unknown reasons. So, I just decide to use eclipse oxygen to edit my HTML file.
So, my only point, it is strange to me that the delete key does not work in the "Web Page Editor". It is beyond my understanding why a software package would disenable the delete key. It is perplexing indeed!
