Just a thought, but have you looked to see what object it is really
using when it's running? (dspjob option 11). Sometimes I
get the QRPGOBJ library object instead of the new compiled object.

As an update: I copied the original program again, and changed the call
subroutine before an initial compiling/debugging and it worked in debug.
So what I tried next was to not change anything and just recompile and
recreate the SEP. After that, debug didn't work. So I don't think it is
necessarily the 'free-format' that is is the issue. Next, I deleted the
compile as well as the SEP and recreated both, logged off and logged back
in (just in case), however that didn't help, the program still wouldn't
run in debug. So something is changing after that initial compile, I'm
just not sure what it could be.....
