Buck,
Works for me "usually" too...
But RDI is not consistent. And that is my BIGGEST problem with RDI, is the lack of reliability...
This last time the toggle to *listing view did not work, I have changed the code while debugging. And yes, I saved the code too! Which is why I wanted to flip over to *LISTING view. Which has worked in the past...
I need to find a way to duplicate "flaky" scenarios to report via PMR to get problems resolved. When I much rather just work on my code.
I love using the set SEP is the Number one way I debug inside of RDI 9.5.1.2. And when it works, I LOVE IT!!!
Trying flipping views between listing and source. Add break-points in one view, and then toggle back to the other view. Do you still see the break-points marked in the source?
Often I have set break points in *listing view. And then recompile and debug in source view. Guess what! It stops at the old break point. But, the break point icon is not showing. Still yet another "paint" issue. Because when I open the break-point view, I see the break points. But, I don't always see the break-point icon. I call that "flaky".
If you set break-points in different view, they should be "visible" in all views. I click my mouse repeatedly, and cannot add/remove break points. Guess what, restart RDI, to clear the memory leak, and then it starts working again...
Restarting RDI several times a day seems to be the ONLY way to fix issues. I call that "FLAKY".
I wish my RDI would allow me to flip between Source/Listing "at will".

This also works for me.
Set SEP
CALL zzzzzz
In *SOURCE, add a line, save.
Show View > *LISTING
switches as expected.
Switch View > *SOURCE
switches back as expected.
Compile program
Get warning that source lines <> object lines
Click OK
Debug session keeps going
Can switch back and forth at will
