MiWorkplace is, IMO, a very nice editor for RPG and some other languages on IBM i. We have RDi, so we don't need it - but I was going to recommend it to some on the team who didn't have RDi yet - we then got licenses for them, so it's now moot.

There /are/ alternatives to RDi and IBM i Access. Throw a couple of Euros to Mihael Schmidt for his RDi-like editor. Small, lightweight, and he does good work.

I think he stopped updating it years ago, but I remember using one Bob Cozzi made about the time of Code400.

In Miheal own words,
"...MiWorkplace is under active development whereas the RPG Next Gen Editor has not seen any further development in years". So, efforts are now directed at the Eclipse-based MiWorkplace IDE. At 27.50EUR, it is very affordable. (Maybe not as comprehensive as RDi and not as sophistictaed - but it is _affordable_).
