Mark,
Okay, I have already have NotePad++ install on my computer, so here are the basic instructions:
1. Download Notepad++ & install. Assuming you haven’t already… (I downloaded the zip/No installer)
2. Cut & Paste the xml (Link below) into file called sqlrpgle.xml (approx. 64-lines of xml)
https://github.com/WorksOfBarry/Notepad-RPG/blob/master/sqlrpgle.xml
3. Menu: >Language>Define your own language….
* Click the “Import…” button
* Select the place you save your “sqlrpgle.xml”
4. Be sure to select the sqlrpgle “User Language”.
I sent the attachment before, but I didn’t know about the import button and export. <embarrassed-smile>
Open up an RPGLE/SQLRPGLE, and see how it works, I like it!
I sort of wish our beloved RDI has collapsible if-statement logic like NotePad+++. <Big Grin> I guess that would be RFE! <Big Smile>

Ken,
Are there easy instructions for installing this? The ones I found
were either too confusing or didn't work.

Wow! It seem someone else has put "RPG Syntax" for NotePad++ on the web:--

Just thought I would share!

Charles,
See text attachment. Please note that this User-defined language need to be updated for new %BIF& Opcodes. I know for instance that I have not added the %ScanRpl %BIF. When I have time, I will update it.
RDI 9.5.1 is so vastly improved, that I don't use this that often. But, good for a quick look at code, especially SQLRPGLE code I find on the web to solve a problem that I am currently researching...
Nothing beats the power of RDI. But NotePad++ does load very fast. So, I occasionally still use it to look at snippets or quick formatting of snippets. Every tools has it purposes...

PS. I will try to add this plug-in after I update it to the NotePad web-site:
http://docs.notepad-plus-plus.org/index.php?title=User_Defined_Language_Files
Won't be until later in the week...

Ken,
I think you should be able to send it as a .txt attachment.
You might try adding it to the wiki
