Charles,
It is really not a big deal to add a "Include message ID" checkbox to the "iSphere Message File Search" box. The problem is that I have to change the library (service program XFNDSTR) for that "minor" enhancement that.
Eventually I decided to add that option but do not enforce updating the library. The "minor" disadvantage is, that users see the new option, but it does not have any effect, as long as they do not update the library.
The "Include message id" will be available with the next beta version.
Thomas.

Betreff: [WDSCI-L] iSphere - Message file tools
I've got a message file filter defined RSE...
All I really want to do is to be able to look at a particular message by message ID. Basically, I'm looking for a DSPMSGD with the message file already filled in.
Expanding the *MSGF takes too long.
And the iSphere "message file search" looks at the message text, I can't serach by ID.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Charles
