I have the latest RDi update of which I am aware, 9.5.1.0
iSphere, far as I can tell, is 2.8.1.r

I have also had the Display Designer thing force the toolbar into view for
several version of RDi.

Thanks all, just askin.

Ever since I got this darned Windows 10 machine, stuff has been going
haywire. For example, on even numbered days my compile commands are
duplicated, on odd numbered days they appear normal. (just kidding, but
every couple of days they duplicate for no reason, next day, just fine.)

I'm running out of hair to pull out.

Not using iSphere, but that darned toolbar never stays hidden for me
either. Whenever I notice it is shown, I hide it. The menu option is out
of sync as you described. I never notice when it un-hides itself, so can't
suggest any particular action that might be the culprit.

I recently had occasion to try the iSphere "Spooled Files" support.
Works
fine. I did notice that every time I use "Open as Text", the toolbar is
forced into view even though I have it shut off all the time. The
"Window"
menu still says "Show toolbar" even after it has been forced visible like
this. I have to first show it, then the options changes to "Hide
toolbar"
so I can hide it again. Does not do this with "Open as HTML" nor "Open
as
PDF".
