1) Are most people using RDI now?
2) Do any still sue WDSC?
3) Do any still just use SEU

Hi Neill,
I'm not going to answer these questions because, well, I can't. I
don't know who can. I have a copy of WDSC 7 that I fire up
occasionally in order to use the Rexx macro capability of Code/400,
that most ancient and wonderful precursor of RDi. But I start RDi
every morning, and it runs all day. I can't tell you the last time I
used SEU. I do have colleagues who will occasionally use SEU to have
a peep at a CLP but who mostly use RDi. I have one colleague who has
never once loaded Code, WDSC, RDP, or RDi and will probably use SEU
until she retires. So it's a very mixed bag.

But how does that play into your situation? I mean, I am at a mental
place where I can't imagine /recommending/ SEU to IBM i newcomers. Or
veterans. Or journeymen. Or anyone who has never heard of a block
mode editor before. Especially at 7.1, where fully free RPG is
available. SEU people will have to turn syntax checking off to use
fully free RPG, and honestly, that's about the only redeeming feature
SEU had left. You /will/ have them use fully free RPG, won't you?
