Ah, I guess that makes sense. I would be surprised if they had floating
licences. I was told by the person who controls this that they need to set
up a server to manage the licences; I suppose he could be wrong about that
need. There are only five i developers here and we all work the same
hours. I can't speak for the others, but I wouldn't put up with not being
able to use RDi due to not being able to snag one of the floating licenses.

At this point, I'll have to wait until next week to find out, as the
"keeper of the keys" is now on vacation.

If you bought the $900 (?) named user licenses, you don't need it.

If you have 5 developers and your bought 5 liceses, I'd expect them to be
named user.

If you have 5 developers and you bought 3 licenses to share then you'd have
to have floating licenses and the license server.

Are you sure you need the server?
