The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Multi-line comments
I understand, Dave. Block comments are nice but aren't currently supported by RPG so you have to figure out your option. RDi supports both commenting and uncommenting a block of lines using Ctrl-/ and Ctrl-\ which add and remove 2 slashes, respectively. Those shortcuts will even support multiple levels of commenting (that is, you can "over-comment" a comment to four slashes, and then un-over-comment it back down to 2).
It's not elegant. The slashes are always in positions 8 and 9, which may be annoying. But it's functional. I'm also very particular about my code, but over the years I've adopted a philosophy: when my preferred style conflicts with the only technique available in my tool, my life is easier when I change my preferred style. :)
