RDi has long converted C specs to freeform. I highlighted some D specs,
right-clicked, and saw the "Convert selection to Free-Form." Alright! I
thought, just what I want.

However...it doesn't. Found a thread from a couple of years ago where the
only available ones were pay versions from Arcad and Linoma.

That still true? Does either do it within the RDi editor? I'd rather do
'chunks' of H, F, and D specs than an entire member. I'd like to look at
the before and after of my own code to learn it better. The vast majority
of my C specs are already freeform.

I don't write much new code these days, but do a lot of maintenance.

I wrote my own plug-in user action to do this. As a Java programmer, I
should be taken out and shot. Having said that, the code does work.
For the archives, it's called ConvertFixedToFreeAction and I assign it
to a short and easy to remember action like f2f. To invoke it, position
the cursor on a line (say, a d-spec) press Escape, action f2f, Enter,
Escape. This code will convert the d-spec to a fully free spec and
insert that below the existing spec. That's because I'm not really
confident in my abilities and I want to compare the two in case my code
does something hideous.

I'm not trying to give anyone work, but if iSphere wants to pick up this
code and make it into something that's actually useful, feel free.
