To clarify, any old IBM ID is sufficient to install an update to RDi.
For opening a PMR the IBM ID does have to be authorized.

Eric, is there any requirements on the IBM ID used to get the updates? I
didn't think so.

I think the underlying problem is that many developers who use RDi have
an IBM ID which is not authorised to submit a PMR. In that respect,
there are two classes of IBM ID: one is linked to a company and is
authorised to submit service requests, and one is for the general
public. ish.
