Done Sir!

PMR# 68955,442,000 -- Live parsing error on /include statement (Not on library-list)

I as able to open the ".log" in the View "Error Log", and did a "Save as" for the insert into the PMR....

Sorry, but I don't know how to get the " StackOverflowError"?

I can very easily re-create this error, I could force a dump, and attach that if it would be helpful...

I get the "parsing Error" immediately, but it takes a while for it to actually crash. And it does give a user-friendly message saying it suggest that I restart RDI for stability issues. <Smile>
That is GOOD!

Let me know if there is more I can do to help resolve this! Thanks so much Edmund!

Ken,
Since you have the latest test fix, I doubt this has been fixed.
Please send me the .log (If you can just open the .log and find the stack trace for the StackOverflowError and send that, that would be optimal.) and please open a PMR.
I want to get this fixed very soon as we want to ship an official fix pack soon. Also I want to make sure that it is not a regression from the test fix.

Thanks,
Edmund

Hi,

Using RDi 9.5 with test patch (2015-11-09), I got this error on a member:
An internal error occurred during: "Live parsing XXXXXXXXX.RPGLE".
java.lang.StackOverflowError

it caused my debug session to blow up... Oh well....

I close everything down, and then just open this single member. I notice on my default library-list, I did not have a /include library for a copy-book.
I did not want to edit the code, only investigate a program bug...

So, RDi 9.5 gave me warnings about this COOl!!!!
But, then it force my RDI 9.5 to give this error message:

A stack overflow error has occurred.
You are commended to exit the workbench.
Subsequent errors may happen and may terminate the workbench without warning.
See the .jog file for more details.

Do you want to exit the workbench?

I *ASSUME* this is a known issue? Correct? I hope there is already a PMR/APAR for this. If not, I can open a new PMR.

-Ken Killian-

PS. Over all the latest test-patch has been working GREAT for me!
It has been FABULOUS!
This is my first and only error since applying the latest test patch.
<Big Smile>
