I have a few little snippets for standard CTL-OPT, Standard Input Keys
definition for Exit, Rollup, Rolldown, etc for indicator-less programming,
some SFL and SQL operations, etc. Nothing fancy. I was looking for examples
using substitution variables, or more advanced and innovative templates
beyond the standard.
I was hoping the i-community would respond to create a repository that would
enable all shops to transition more rapidly to modernized code.

I am interested in Code Snippets and Templates and trying to implement them
to make coding easier and faster.

The code snippets and templates I have created seem to be very simplistic
and limited.

Searching for good examples has not been very rewarding at all.

Are there any resources or repositories of examples of code snippets or
templates that can be shared?

If you know of any such resources, could you please pass them along or
publish them somewhere.

I have to believe there are many others are under-utilizing these tools.

Thank you.

You could put them into the wiki...

I've had an on again / off again relationship with snippets. Some days I'm
sure I need to use snippets in order to use design patterns better.
Then I work with them some more and I talk myself into the idea that hard
copying code-as-templates is an indication that I'm missing a more general
function that I should be writing.

What's a snippet / template that you find yourself using often?

I use snippets, generally once in a program. I have several that I use to
create the basic structure of the program, then make changes until it works.
I also have a set of procedures that I use when I am using a cursor (open,
close, fetch). I will insert that snippet once per cursor (usually only one
per program). I don't use them to collect business rules though. That I put
into service programs.
