Yes Peter, RDi 9.5 freezes on me somewhat regularly, like once every day or two, always when editing code. I can't be 100% certain, but for me it seems to be when editing long strings in code, as in embedded SQL statements. At least that was where it happened last time.

I use the same solution you use.

A coworker had it lock up on Monday while she was making changes. I really don't know any more than that. She had to kill it and re-open it. I think she was over VPN in case that makes a difference.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.5 freezing

Dear group,

Has anybody experienced random freezes of RDi 9.5?

I'm running the trial version (our BP seems to have forgotten to register us for SWMA but is looking into it) on Win7 Enterprise, and it randomly stops responding.

It happens maybe every other day, usually during a copy/paste operation.

Last time I allowed it to wait for over 30 minutes, but nothing happened.

The only solution is to force close RDi. When I start it again, I get a message about pending changes, but they seem to have been lost, reverting me back to the last saved version.

Met vriendelijke groeten / Best regards,
