No - it displays the actual bytes in hex, as I said. Actually there are 4 lines labeled "Text", "Unicode", "File encoding UTF8", and "Source encoding Cp037".
I've not checked help text for any further explication, someone else can do that, I guess. :)
One can edit in any of the lines, as I recall - I think I did that yesterday to clean up some display bytes in source.
You really have to start using RDI, man!

What does "Unicode" mean here? You get the code points? So "Hello!"
gives you something like "U+0048 U+0065 U+006C U+006C U+006F U+0021"?
