I agree. The current support is good, but what Mark suggests would be
better.

Yes, that is true, but it is specific for a given program. It would
be nice if a given debug profile could be used to debug any program;
kind of like a job description. Right click on the program, choose
debug as batch, and then the debug profile. Not sure how you would
handle parameters in this situation though, maybe yet another dialog.
