I installed 2.6.0 this week and I have the 2.6.0 help (menu Help/Help Contents/iSphere).

When you install iSphere in "Available Software" you find "iSphere for RDi 8.0+" and if you expand that you will find 4 components. Help is one component and it is optional. Perhaps you did not check that box? (Note that the Help screen shot shows only 3--need to fix that.)

The 2.6.0 help is more extensive. If you have questions about installation, check it first.

Well. I should have checked earlier. Even though I've updated to 2.6, the
help version says its 2.5.2. Is there a way to update that?

I forgot there could be help installed. I looked at it, and it was fairly
sparse. Your option b, on the sourceforge.net website had a lot more
information. For example, the source search function is not detailed in
the Rdi help, beyond the feature list, but its use is spelled out in the
online version.

Just for the records,

The server side of the iSphere plug-in can be installed or updated on two
ways:

a) Select menu option "iSphere" from the main menu bar and proceed with
transfer "iSphere Library". That option is useful for updating iSphere or
when you want to use the default name (ISPHERE) for the iSphere library.

b) Goto "Window - Preferences - iSphere - Library" and click "Transfer
iSphere Library". That is the way you need to go if you want to use a
different name for the iSphere library.

Please also check the iSphere help that is:

a) Shipped with the iSphere plug-in. Take options "Help - Help Contents"
and select the "iSphere" book to open the iSphere manual.

b) Available on the Internet. Start your Internet browser and go to "
http://isphere.sourceforge.net/help/";.

Regards,

Thomas.

I updated to the new version and thought all was OK... but it seems I need
to update the system side as well (says I have 2.5 and need 2.6 or higher).

I feel silly asking, but I can't seem to find (or remember) how to do this.
