The firewall here is old and flaky and for the longest time it was far
easier for me to download work related stuff at home, put it on a thumb
drive and load it at work. This includes cumes, RDi and iSphere.
When you get home, go to
http://www.taskforce-it.de/de/download.html and
download the zip file for RDi 8.0+ (Update Site). Put that on a thumb
drive and take it to work. Copy the zip file to your PC, extract that
and use RDi Help > Install New Software to point to that extracted
directory and let RDi install it.
If they've epoxied the USB ports shut and removed the CD-ROM drive
there's not a lot that can be done although I might have brought in my
own hard drive from home loaded with Linux, installed that, booted up
Linux, mounted the Windows drive, done a copy from my HDD to the Windows
HDD, reversed the process and used my copied data that way.
NB to previous employer: I hope you're not surprised that the smart
people you hired are smart.
