I don't think this is related to SEU modifying the source and how RDI then interprets it because I'm having this happen with source in my development library and unless I have some very odd co-workers who spend their time going into my source and making slight modifications, I'm never in SEU.
I will say that I never nailed down the scenario. Sometimes I open up source in RDi and when I hit the END key it goes to the last character, at other times it goes to column 80. I guess I can put a PMR in and see where that goes. Being told to "trim" every source I open isn't something I'm going to be happy with. (Does trim work in browse mode? I'm positive I've had the trailing blanks happen in source opened to browse - of course every source I'm opening up right now does not have trailing spaces.)

Yeah, I know, but I don't use it.
I do not recall, but I don't think it is often set up - not as a
default, that I can remember.
It may or may not be the default in Client Access and its successors.
I have specifically avoided it for my own personal configuration. I know that I have briefly used other 5250 clients which were configured (either by default or by an admin) to use the End key (no modifier) for that purpose. (Mocha? Procomm? Don't remember.)
