I wonder if this is related to live outline - the parser will add the end* if it can't determine there is already, maybe?

Hm, my 9.1 does auto-close for an existing if..endif block.
It DOES inhibit closing select...endsl, dow...enddo.

I never noticed this before, as I do Ctrl-Enter for existing blocks :-)
