Very nice, Jose - I'll use that for sure!

Hi Craig,

in addition to what was said by Vern, you can you can press together
ctrl+Intro and only insert new line without "Endxx".

Craig

There are settings in the preferences.

Go to Windows menu,
click on Preferences,
type "ILE" in the filter text box
- you will see an entry for "ILE RPG"
- click on it

About halfway down is a setting for closure - see if this gives you what
you want.

Using WDSC 7.0

In free-format RPG, when I enter an "if" or "do" statement, the editor
generates the corresponding "ENDIF" or "ENDDO".

How can I suppress the auto generation of the END statements? (Side note,
how can I get it to insert as lower-case, i.e., "endif" or "enddo").

Thanks

subject: [WDSCI-L] Custom compile commands and changes are not saving

I thought I remembered something about this on the list a while back, but
I couldn't find anything searching the archives.

I wanted to modify the parameters on a couple of the compile commands we
use. So I went into 'Work with Compile Commands' and made the changes,
clicked Apply then Close. Tested and everything was great. But the next
time I restarted RDi (version 9.1), the changes were gone. I've also
tried to change the order the commands appear in and had similar
result--i.e., the commands change to the order I've set, they stay fine
through a session, but when I restart, everything reverts to where it was
before.

Is there a setting I'm missing or should I open a PMR? Also if anyone's
aware of an open APAR already, can you share the APAR #?

Thanks,
Michael Quigley
