Subject: [WDSCI-L] View icons disappearing
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
I've been perplexed by a problem from time to time. I wanted to check if
anyone else has seen this before I open a PMR.
I've got a custom perspective setup. In it, I've set up several "groups"
of the various views I use. I these up by dragging the tabs for views to
a group of other views. For the sake of simplicity, I call these "View
Groups"--I don't know if there's an official name for them. I keep
all of the views except the editor and outline minimized. I've saved the
perspective with my own name. From time to time something gets messed up
in the perspective. If I choose Window, Reset Perspective..., the
perspective is reset, but all the icons for the minimized View Groups go
away. Sometimes I can't recover the perspective no matter what. Other
times if I close the perspective and reopen it, everything is back to
normal.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or more importantly, has anyone got an
idea how to consistently be able to reset a perspective?
Thanks
Michael Quigley
