The simplest way would be to replace that QRPGSRC file with one that has the PF-SRC attribute instead of PF38-SRC, i.e. create a new source file, copy all the members from old to new, delete the old, and rename or move the new into place.  There is no advantage that I know of to maintaining that PF38-SRC attribute.

If that's not feasible, then you need to add the PF38-SRC attribute to whatever file or member filter you're using for your pick from list.  I'm not real clear on exactly what you're doing for that - perhaps you could elaborate on what steps you're taking to do this comparison?

Good luck.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Compare Source Member Tool

Folks,

First, I'm using WDSC 7.0.0.8 as my primary editor. I've run into a
situation using the 'compare to file' option where the compare-to file (and
hence member) doesn't show in the picking list.

After doing some checking, the only reason that I can come up with why the
file does not show in the list is that ALL files in the list have either a
'*file.pf-src' or '*file.pf-dta' attribute. The missing source file,
QRPGSRC, has an attribute of '*file.pf38-src' so I assume this is why it
doesn't show up.

I've had no luck checking through the Window=>Preferences options. Anyone
know how can I get the picking list to include it?
