I'm not sure if there are any tricks to making this easier currently, but
there are a couple RFEs related to this. If you think these would help
you, please vote for them.

[1]http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=34475
- add compare dialog with history of past library selections, could have
preferred libraries for compare
[2]http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=26968
- add a default compare library

And somewhat related:

- action to compare iProject member with its remote counterpart.

Can you use the Object Table in conjunction with File Compare ?
If so, I find several useful filter options in Object Table.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] File comparisons

I have quite a number of source files I've changed for massive update
project, and I'm using the file compare function. Is there any way to
make finding the file to which I want to compare faster? It seems like
after I select the source library and file, it takes a very long time for
me to be able to select the member to which I want to compare. It takes
about 2 and a half minutes per file; I have a lot of source members that
need comparing!
Any help there??
Thank you!
