I'm glad it's working for you. I get an error when I try to open an HTML
file: An error has occurred. See error log for more details.

I guess I probably need another component to get it to work. But since I
don't actually NEED to edit any HTML, I'm not going to lose any sleep
over it.

Thanks Trevor - that works just fine for me. No WYSIWYG capabilities as
in drag drop etc. but you can at least change text in the page view.

Jon,

The instructions here:

appear to work to install the editor, however I have yet to
successfully
load an html file in the editor (I just get a blank screen when I
try).

Jon,

The "HTML" editor is included with Eclipse-Java EE Developers...

I discovered I had to download the WTP tools separately to get it to
work with RDi 9.0.1

It took a while for me to figure it out, but maybe this link might
help:

http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/downloads/

HTML is very common, why is it not included by default has always
perplexed me...

Be sure to get the correct one, I had to fumble through it... Sorry, I
don't remember exactly how I did it...

The whole idea behind RDi is to be one inclusive environment for
development...

Checking my help, I have the WTP 3.4.2 installed. But RDI is based on
eclipse 4.2. So, maybe I installed the wrong one, but it works!

Oh well, at least RDi can installed plugin. But, it would be nice to
include it! Since a lot of us still use html. It includes the XML
editor
by default!
<grin>

Follow up.

I must be looking for a how to enable the feature I think. I managed
to
hook to the Eclipse site for the Eclipse Web Tools Platform but it
simply informed me that everything was already installed.

The stuff I have found on the Eclipse web site all says that it is
already part of all current Eclipse packages - but I don't see it in
my
9.0.1 setup.

Is there a separate download location or am I just missing how to
enable an existing feature.
