Rob,

That's not strictly speaking a RDi issue. It's the Aldon plugin which does
it...

I don't see any preferences to control it (Team-->Rocket Aldon LM)

Nor does it appear that it pays attention to the RSE preference setting
(Remote Systems-->IBM i-->Command Execution)

I'd suggest opening a ticket with Aldon. And if you get a solution, please
post back. I must admit that it annoys me also, but not enough to bother
to open the ticket :)

I'm now using Eric and Charles' suggestion of using the RSE view instead
of the RSE perspective when editing. It works great and saves be time
as I don't have to keep switching perspectives. But now I'm
experiencing another slowdown.
When I create an object (compile) the job status tab always opens. Is
there a way to keep this from happening?
Here is my screen before I create(compile).

And after I create (compile).

It's not stopping me from doing my work but I very rarely use it. So
when I need it I can added the view. I just wonder if there's a
preference setting that I can't find to stop it automatically opening.

Thanks,

Rob

Sorry about the extra messages
