This is very intriguing. We don't have a large amount of bandwidth. But
downloads only take me a couple hours--maybe two-and-a-half at the most.
Perhaps something is throttling back the downloads when they've got a lot
of bandwidth?

The other thing I've done to simplify installation and update is set up my
own repository on our network and update it with the IBM Package Manager.
It takes a little work to set up, but it's not rocket science. The
install/update process is very quick and easy this way.

Re: [WDSCI-L] Update on RDi 9.0.1 download

Pretty much matches the "speeds" I have seen Vern. I think my
longest took 16 hours - but if I recall correctly I started it on a
Saturday morning.

I just checked on the download I started yesterday. Let's say I
started
the download at 8am.

2 ZIP files, DISK1 is 1.5 GB, DISK2 is 800MB.

DISK1 finished at 6am THIS morning - 22 hours
DISK2 finished at 5:30pm yesterday - 9.5 hours

Oy!

Or may I say? ENJ-Oy! Oy! Oy!
