While you can move a field when the mouse pointer changes to
crossed-arrows, you don't have to have that. If the field is selected and
you click within it, you can drag it anywhere you want. At least it's
always worked that way for me. I just verified it on my patched RDi
9.0.1.

Honestly since it works without the mouse pointer changing, I've never
fully understood the purpose of the crossed-arrows pointer.

[WDSCI-L] Screen design view- how to get the "drag" icon

I don't have a "steady mouse hand" and have trouble
selecting one character fields so I can move them on
the Design screen.

Sometimes it seems the editor is "moody" and hovering
like for-ev-er fails to produce the "move icon".

Not a problem for wider fields.

Is there any way to "force" the cursor to change into the
"crossed arrows" required to move a field?
