Good point, I am going to leave out the F3=Find Next, and just saying I am using a shortcut key/F16=Find next. Just like SEU...

Make sure not to grouse about any issues with RDi when you're trying to make a case for it. ;)
Like your F3 comment - if these people are stuck in SEU then I can't imagine the sticking point would be a shortcut key (unless they want the keystroke to match SEU).
I know when I'm explaining RDi I often find myself trying not to complain about shortcomings. That's why I suggested my co-workers not upgrade to 8.5 (or to shut off live outline), there were just too many issues.
I hope your session goes well. I think it's great that you're demoing it to co-workers. Though on the flipside I'm not so sure why your company wants all or nothing in regard to RDi. If a single license is going to increase your efficiency, I don't see what the holdup should be. Always easier said than done, though.
Good luck!
Kurt

I guess I will do that...
One thing I hate about the Key board preference mapping, it is hard for newbies. For instance, I remap by Find Next to F3 like other programs, such as NotePad++, Visual Studio, Foxit PDF Reader, etc...
But, to get that to work, I need to do SEVERAL re-maps... Not only in LPEX, but in the Text Editor too! Since I use the text editor to view spool files.
Great thing about the IBM i, is that there are some many different ways to do thing. This is also a "bad thing" because there are so many different ways to do things.
Same with Eclipse! It is HIGHLY customizable for your own personal preferences. But, figuring that out can be a NIGHTMARE! Which of course, I do NOT want to explain to Newbies! <LOL>
I have been told again and again... KEEP IT SIMPLE! Use the MOUSE only for Newbies... <LOL>
Thanks!

Don't set up a new machine with a barebones configuration for a demo. Use your own machine. Why?
Because you have filters you know and like, you have shortcut keys you know and like, etc.
Don't go over the dozen ways to open a member, open a member the way you usually do, and so forth. Show how RDi helps you.
If and when your colleagues get going, they'll want do it the way you did; print out a script that you follow to customise your IDE and share that.
Then they can tinker when they feel comfortable, and they'll know
which tweakers to twitch :-)
This is exactly how Sue Gantner presents RSE Explorer in her online classes, highlighting what she has customized and why she did it.
It is the most interesting piece of her 4 day presentation, with the most value.
