And oddly, my (never changing list of previous values) is frozen with the
contents of the list of prior commands entered on the comand line (like
?SEU and such).

Reallllllly annoying, since it picks one of those (first) every time I
search.

You are correct Kurt - that is one of the stingiest bugs I've ver seen!
The list remains stubbornly empty but using cursor up does indeed retrieve
earlier search values.

Truly perverse - and clearly a bug.

P.S. I just found that the cursor option works on 8.5 too - but there's no
drop-down box marker there.

In V9 when you do a Find a drop down arrow appears on the RHS of the
text box. But no matter how many searches I do it doesn't seem to get
populated.

Anyone else seeing (or rather not seeing) this ?
