How about this? Preferences, LPEX Editor, Appearance, Styles,
emphasis. What is emphasis? I changed the background color to orange
and in the Preview pane the word"Emphasis" turned orange. I have no idea
of what that is or how to do it, but that sounds like exactly what the
OP wants to do?

Those things are the bits and pieces that come from Eclipse. Emphasis
is what Eclipse does when you search for a string either through the
Ctrl-F dialogue or the findText command.

The OP wants to have only 3 comment lines stand out, not every comment
line. I'll ponder that one a bit more.
