I'd be cautious about clearing out these directories with RDi installed,
since you might not be able to tell for sure what's active. I like to
uninstall, and then I'm pretty sure I can purge stuff. I had a momentary
panic when I saw how much was in .ecplise deleting, as I recalled that
Lotus Notes is also based on Eclipse, but Notes appears to work fine.

Interesting! I looked in C:\Users\hambevm\.eclipse and found something
related to Data Studio - I have removed that application from my laptop,
but there is still junk out there - or is it part of one of either RDP
8.5.1 or RDI 9.0?

It seems it was put in there after I installed 8.5.1 and before 9.0 - so
can it be deleted?

I also see a Data Studio directory under IBM in AppData.

As to RD?, in Roaming I see a Rational directory - maybe that's the one
you saw, Darren.

I rather hate these remnants!

I had the Rational Business Developer version of RDi 9.0 installed, with

local help to work, and reinstalled just the base RDi 9.0 for expediency.
This caused all kinds of havoc with plugins and I had some instability in
my preferences. The instability was that even in a new workspace, the
old
preferences were retained somehow. After uninstalling, I found some
extra
folders in C:\Users\Darren\.eclipse that I deleted. There was also
something in C:\User\Darren\AppData\Roaming\IBM that I don't recall, but
I
remember thinking it was RDi related. So, for a fresh install, you might
want to take care of directories like that, if you find them.
