The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I don't remember having to redo my perspective layout on upgrades in the
8.0 to 8.5.1 range.
They also don't transfer with an export/import of preferences. (At first
I thought that key bindings also did not transfer, but you need to
restart after the import for them to apply.)
For fast views, yes they are gone with the new eclipse and minimized
parts replace them.
Apart from the quick access method mentioned, you can click on the icons
of the minimized view and you can also assign a shortcut to the view.
