I think the answer depends deeply on the things you do with RDp. I
myself am very happy moving from 7.0.0.8 to 8.5 (and then 8.5.1).
There's a caveat: I don't use the things that people report as having
issues. Here's what I recall seeing reported here - I hope others add
to this to make a more coherent list:
1) Outline view
2) Autocomplete
3) Debug -> Job
4) SEP debug hover (partial fix in 8.5.1)
