I like Brian's suggestion and use it at times. Another option which *I*
find more productive is to put all the source members in a single filter.
Then I open that filter in the Object Table, which I've customized to
include a column for the source file. Now I can sort the members based on
any column: source file, source type, member name, date created, date
modified, etc. YMMV--as I tried to emphasis, I find it more productive.
That's part of the beauty of RDP, figure out what's best for you.

Ok. So instead of the 4 separate filters. You can set up an object
filter that selects the source physical files for your billing
software. The filter will list the 4 source files. You can then
expand into any of those source files to get to the source member
you need. Hopefully I explained myself better this time.

May be I misunderstood what you said originally. Because based on
your last email, it sounds like you're asking why I'm not doing what
I actually am doing. So let's try to clear this up.

For example, in a version of our billing software we may have the
following source files:
QRPG
QDDS
QCL
QSQL

So in this case I'd have 4 filters within the pool. Is that what
you're saying?
