I don't personally push RDP to a point where it breaks so I don't think
any of these issues would matter to me much, but my customers would push
it quite a bit harder.

Based on my experience Jim there is nothing in 8.5 (magic Outline view included) that makes up for the grief I have suffered as a result of the upgrade. In the future I intend to be much more cautious in moving to a new version - this one has cost me days and days of wasted time. Most of it when I most needed it - but nothing new there of course.

If I had the chance to do it over - I wouldn't <grin>
