The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I have set my preferences ('Help', then 'Content') to retrieve the help
locally--disabling the help from
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iadthelp/v8r5. However
periodically, something resets my preference so the local help is disabled
and the Internet help is re-enabled. If my Internet connection was
faster, I probably wouldn't mind, but being in a rural area, we sometimes
have an extremely slow connection. (Besides the fact that we're currently
on V5R4 so I don't see much need to try and retrieve updated information
every time.
It seems when this preference gets changed and I press the F1 for help,
the RDP can just hang where I have to terminate it using Task Manager and
restart.
Any thoughts on why my preferences might be changing?
