Terry,

The version of Java that RD Power uses is provided by RD Power itself and
is only updated via a RD Power fixpack. You can have other Javas installed
on your machine without affecting RD Power.

Shortly after installing RDp version 8.5 I got a pop-up advising me that a
new version of Java was available and (maybe) foolishly accepted the
installation. As I began to use 8.5 I was running into issues and didn't
know if was the new version of RDp or the new version of Java, so I have
reverted to using 8.0.3 which seems to be unaffected. As a general rule,
should we install the new versions of Java when they become available? If
we need to wait for RDp to catch up, how do we know when they have?
