If you go to Window -> Preferences and then select Help -> Content, you
should see two entries for help. One is for local help the other is to
link directly to the latest external help for Rational Developer for Power
Systems Software. If you set both of these to Disabled, then you will
only
get help that is already installed with the product. This allows you to
work disconnected and does not require you to download any help. In
Rational Developer for power 8.5, the help that is available on the remote
site is exactly the same as what is automatically installed with the
product and is also the same as what you would download from the Remote
Update site. This is not the case for all products which is why this
option is available.

Just to explain further. Normally if you select to have "Access help from
the Web" during install of the product the "Rational Developer for Power
System Software" external site is enabled and the local help is disabled
and you should not get those messages. If you select to have "Download
the
help and access the content locally", during install, then you get the
messages to download the help like you have experienced. Which normally
requires you to go and select the help for Rational Developer for Power
and
download it locally, at which point the messages will stop. However, as I
explained above, because the content is the same as what is already
installed by default for the current 8.5 product this is not needed and
you
can just make the setting that I described above. If for the future you
would like to get further explanation of how to download the help, I can
do
that and you can also use the information available at:

Please let me know if you have any issues.

Every time I load up RDp I get a dialog box stating "Help is not included
when this software is installed, what would you like to do?" i've tried
changing the preferences for Help and it's a no-go. I can't figure out
how to install the "Local Help" using the "Local Help Updater" it shows a
list of all of the books, etc but nothing is enabled to allow me to
install. Is there a different method I can use to install the local help
or at least get rid of the annoying dialog box?
