Hi Mike,

that did the trick. My BP has placed an order for the new version.

Hi Andy, Frank,

Do you obtain RDP from IBM PartnerWorld or as a hardware part number in
eConfig (ESS)?

I think David Wright described the ESS download pretty well. For ESS you
will need to order (or have your BP order) a no-charge update to make the
new version visible in ESS.

For PartnerWorld I don't really know their entitlement process but they do
have a download site at
http://www-304.ibm.com/partnerworld/wps/servlet/ContentHandler/swgben_trs_sw
_21
so if you have a current PartnerWorld Id I expect that you can go there and
(I expect) log in and download what you like.

If you are using PassportAdvantage you should be able to log in and see the
updated version available to you if you are current with your SWMA.

And of course you can go to the RDP site
http://www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/products/rdp/ click on the big blue
button and download from the DeveloperWorks using your ibm.com Id.

Mike

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Downloading RDP 8.5 from ESS not possible Sent by:
wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Frank

Having the same problems here in the UK.

Been chasing IBM support & Partnerworld without any joy, getting
bounced
all
over the place.

I'll let you know if they sort it for us in the end.

Regards
Andy Youens

i would like to download the new RDP 8.5 from IBM`s Entitled Software
Support Site. But in the area Software Downloads I can`t find a
specific item. When I select withdrawn products I can see the old RDP
8.0. In the area Software Maintenance Records I can see 5662RDP, which
means 3 years
of
software maintenance. Software Maintenance will expire in June 2014,
so
I
would say I should be able to download the new RDP 8.5. Does anybody
know
what to do to make this work.

Thanks

Frank
