As to compare functions, IMNSHO there is nothing to compare (sic) with
the PDM compare option 54 - it is well worth a look, I think - and the
merge is very cool - option 55 - gives you a very nice split-SEU screen
where you select the changes you want to apply.
I know, we're supposed to do everything in RDP - well, they've not put
anything as good for my use in there - the SoftLanding tools are good
but do not preserve source dates - some such problem. The Eclipse
compare, well, you know. The RDP one - I think the CODE tool was/is better.
But do take a look at the PDM compare/merge tools - they regularly save
my bacon here.

Sorry Dave, I assumed you knew. If you press the ESC key when in the LPEX editor and type TRIM and press enter, then press ESC again then all of the trailing blanks should be removed. If you then try the compare again.
As someone else said, the free RSE extensions has a much better compare function.

I don't know what that means, Mark. I'm seeing trailing blanks on all
lines of the member I've copied from the production library and none
on the version that I have in my development library. Where do these
trailing blanks come from? Also in preferences, lpex editor, compare,
I've ticked ignore trailing blanks!

This may be a silly question but have you tried using the trim editor command to remove the trailing blanks on a line?--

Hi,
This feature is suddenly useless for comparing 2 rpg members. All the
white spaces are being highlighted.
Anyone had this problem?
