No I didn't I had thrown in the towel and assumed that the softlanding RSE Extensions didn't work with RDP 8 eventhough the download said RSE_Extension_7.5+.

I didn't think about the -clean option but I just did it and still no luck but thanks for the advice. Unless I didn't perform the -clean option correctly. I added -clean to my shortcut target and restarted RDP. I will give it a few more tries and hopefully the extension will show up. (I really like those RSE extensions)

"C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP\eclipse.exe" -product com.ibm.rational.rdpower.product.ide -clean

Thanks again.

Larenzo,

Have you had any more success?

The next thing I can suggest is to start RDP with the -clean option

First off, make sure you downloaded and are installing the RSE

This is listed on softlanding.com as:
download RDP/RDi 7.5+ plugin

Yeah, this is a general problem with RSE plug-in's ... any plug-in
written for WDSC 7.0 and RDi 7.1 are generally incompatible with RDi 7.5 and higher.

Kind of a PITA for those of us who develop plug-in's and have to
support multiple versions of the tooling.
