Aha, that's where it was hiding! i should've at least read the connection
url instead of just copying and pasting. I was looking for some kind of
properties or settings page somewhere. Thanks a lot.

Dave,

For point 3, you need to modify the connection string for your JDBC driver.

Here is mine, where I also use . instead of /

jdbc:as400://pli00001;binary=true;naming=sql

the "naming=sql" part gives you . instead of /

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Using quantum db

Hi all,

I'm trying to make the switch to QUANTUM DB but having some difficulties.
I have a whole load of *.SQL files that I store my frequently or more
complicated queries in. I'd like to be able to do the following, which is
no problem with the ibm sql editor :

1 : open a *.sql file with a double click instead of right click then
choose Quantum at the bottom of the list.
2 : have the sql file open within the quantum db perspective.
3 : be able to use the '.' instead of the '/' to qualify table names.
4 : be able to use the eclipse keyboard keys to edit ( alt + down to move
lines, etc) - can't even click right and select copy/paste.

Merci, y'all!
