Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDP 8.0.3 (Block comment)

Hi,

Wanted to see if it was possible to comment out a load of cl lines in
one
go and came across this thread.

So if I understand correctly this is not possible as it is in other
eclipse
based editors, for php, for example.

What does extract from the thread this mean :

1. Put cursor in comment position of first line
2. Press Alt-R
3. Cursor down to end of block
4. Press Alt-R again
5. Right-click
6. Type L-E-*
7. Press Enter

Ok except for Right-click and Type L-E-* which I don't understand.

When you right-click, the context-sensitive menu appears. 'L' is the
shortcut-key for 'Se*l*ected'. This opens the 'Selected' sub-menu for
which you would select the 'Fill s*e*lection' using the E as the
shortcut-key. You could also Right-click, click on 'Selected', and then
on 'Fill selection'.

Since you're commenting out a block of CL, you will need to cursor right
one space and make your block-selection two columns wide. The '*' is the
character with which to fill the selection. You'll want to type '/*' and
then press enter. After that, you'll have to go to the end of each source
line and repeat this process of selecting the block (two columns wide) and
selecting to fill with '*/'. Kind of clunky, but it does work. Unless
RDp has changed from WDSC, you'll have to press Alt-U each time after
pressing Enter. That will unselect the current block so you can select
another one.
