Sure the source line can be longer than 80 characters, but the RPG compiler
ignores everything past column 80 (at least it does at v5r4), throwing a
level 20 error. Need to break the statement into two or more lines to get it
to compile correctly, which is a pain when you start using meaningful names
for qualified data structures and procedures.

RSE "enforces" the limitation, too.
